I chose Salem State because I felt welcomed and at home when I first visited. I was inspired by the people here. The theatre, music and dance programs allowed me to believe in my own potential to become someone greater than I’ve ever dreamed.
In Salem, I’ve learned how important it is to build a community. You need a neighborhood of people, those who share a common experience or interest, work together, support each other, and unify a voice. Here, at Salem State, I feel that sense of community. I feel valued by my peers and theatre faculty on campus; and because of them, I know that I will be ready for the world when I earn my degree and move forward in life.
